About this role

Responsibilites: - Clean and disinfect patient rooms, surgical areas, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and other hospital spaces. Safely handle and dispose of wastes. - Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors using appropriate cleaning equipment. - Follow strict protocols for cleaning high-risk areas. - Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. - Report maintenance issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures) promptly to supervisors. - Ensure cleaning supplies are used properly and stored securely. - Respond to urgent cleaning requests in emergency situations or spills. - Maintain confidentiality and respect patient privacy at all times. Requirements: - Minimum of SSCE/High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior janitorial experience, especially in a hospital or healthcare setting, is preferred. - Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies. - Familiarity with safety and sanitation standards (e.g., WHO, CDC, or local health agency guidelines). - Physical stamina and ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment. - Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely. - Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. - Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
